Pastime Tournaments Spotlight Programs
Pastime Tournaments would like to introduce our "Spotlight Programs" section as we shine some light on teams and programs that have previously won Pastime Tournaments events. We will look into what Pastime Tournaments events they won, previous accomplishments, 2011 preview, program history, and a couple key prospects. Below is a list of programs that will have the Spotlight shined on them in the upcoming months.
Pastime Tournaments had a signature year in 2010 with our second 16U and 18U National Championship tournaments. The 2010 16U champion was the 5B's Stingers. The 18U championship was held at Victory Field in Indianapolis, IN (home to the AAA Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate - Indianapolis Indians) and featured the Ohio Elite and The Ohio Warhawks . The Ohio Warhawks were crowned champion with a 6-2 win while going 8-0 to claim the title.
There were a total of 72 tournament champions in 2010 for Pastime Tournaments. The program claiming the most titles in 2010 was Kentucky Baseball Club with 7 tournament crowns. The Midwest Mules led all single team programs in titles with 3 while the LIDS Indiana Bulls won 5 team titles. Other programs to win more than two were the Illinois Sparks and Ohio Elite.
There were a total of 66 tournament champions in 2011 for Pastime Tournaments. The program claiming the most titles in 2011 was Kentucky Baseball Club with 11 tournament crowns. The Cincy Flames came in winning 4 total events in 2011 while several others came in with 3 tournament crowns (Ohio Elite, Mid-Atlantic Canes, Indiana Bulls).
