Spotlight Programs

Pastime Tournaments would like to introduce our "Spotlight Programs" section as we shine some light on teams and programs that have previously won Pastime Tournaments events. We will look into what Pastime Tournaments events they won, previous accomplishments, 2010 preview, program history, and a couple key prospects. Below is a list of programs that will have the Spotlight shined on them in the upcoming months.

Pastime Tournaments had a signature year in 2009 with our first 16U and 18U National Championship teams. The 2009 16U champion was the LIDS Indiana Bulls who went 8-0 in a rain filled championship weekend defeating teams from IN, IL, KY, KS, and TN in route to the title. The 18U championship was held at Victory Field in Indianapolis, IN (home to the AAA Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate - Indianapolis Indians) and featured the Dayton Classics and the LIDS Indiana Bulls. The Dayton Classics were crowned champion with a 9-5 win while going 8-0 to claim the title.

There was a total of 55 tournament champions in 2009 for Pastime Tournaments. The program claiming the most titles was the LIDS Indiana Bulls with 5 tournament crowns. The Midwest Mules led all single team programs in titles with 4 while Top Tier and the KY Baseball Club each held three tournament titles in 2009. Top Tier is the all time leader in tournament titles with 7 in 3 years.
